Well, we made it to the Grand Ole Opry. The artists we saw included 91 year old Jimmy Dickens, who was still going strong. He said he'd asked his wife if she was playing up on him and she said "Who else would I play up on?". The other artists were Easton Corbin, the Oak Ridge Boys, Bill Anderson and Carrie Underwood.
If you were right into country music it would have been great, but you got sick of hearing about faithful dogs, cheating women, big trucks and how good Reverend's daughters were. We were very lucky to have about twelve 13 year old schoolgirls behind us. They wanted to marry all the male artists and screamed all the time. The screaming finally got to Tim and he left halfway through the show.

Hully in the land of nod.
Tim's fan club.
After we arrived, we found out that the 2012 Country Music Awards 41st Fan Fair Music Festival started tonight with a street festival and there's a 'Kick Off Parade' past our hotel tomorrow. What a coincidence!
Had a look around the street festival and found a couple of candidates for the DMTC. They've got the right stomachs but lack a little in stature. Suppose if Whoppa qualifies, these blokes should then.
Regards,
The DMTC
