Laughlin To Las Vegas And A Few Days R&R

Hi Folks,

Saturday in Laughlin and we had dinner at the Round House Buffet.   All you could eat prawns, crab legs and oysters the size of an abalone; plus roasted rib eye and turkey; then chicken cooked every which way; crumbed pork chops; pizzas; and all the vegetables.   Then, last but not least, all the desserts, including bread and butter pudding.   All for $17.50.   Hully said it was one of the best meals he'd had in America as it had everything he liked.

Up early Sunday morning and off at 7 am for Las Vegas.   It wasn't long and Hully was in his usual pose checking out the sights.
We'd just gotten to Henderson when something from the buffet kicked in with Cirelli and he's been sick ever since.   Too much food, too much food and too much ?????

Arrived in Vegas at about 9.30 and checked into the Encore at Wynn, but couldn't get our rooms as they weren't ready.   Hully headed off straight away to participate in his poker tournament while the rest of us went for a drive around Vegas and did some shopping.
We returned to the Encore and finally got our rooms about 2.45.   A great hotel with magnificent facilities and rooms.

This is the view from our room.
Dinner on Sunday night at Chin Chins Chinese Restaurant (no Cirelli though) at the New York, New York Casino.   It's the only Chinese restaurant we've seen that 99% of the staff weren't Chinese.   Great food though.

Monday morning and Cirelli still isn't well, but nurse Jeffsy is looking after him.   Some of the boys went shopping at the outlet shops.   Seriously, we're more like women everyday.

As requested by Norm Parker, a few photographs of the outside and inside of the Hollywood Wagon:-

The real Hollywood Wagon.
More in a day or so.

Regards,
The DMTC

  2. All's well, but the way Cirelli is, we might have to stay another few weeks to look after him. Otherwise, dad's only got one more chance for a sleep before flying home, Las Vegas to Los Angeles.
