Hi Folks,
We awoke this morning to find out that you suffered a 5.2-5.5 earth tremor there last night. We trust everyone is OK. It was on the morning TV news here. We didn't feel it here, but the room does rumble a bit when a certain person lets one rip.
Gained an hour by crossing from Central Time to Mountain Time, and then stopped for lunch in Santa Rosa. Believe it not, we had a healthy Subway lunch. We must be suffering from some form of psychiatric condition.

After breakfast, we had a quick look around Amarillo, doing a couple of 'Tour De Donuts', before checking out historic 6th Street. Wasn't much there so we were off along Route 66 on the Texas section (finally found a sign for it), across the border into New Mexico and onto the Santa Fe pre-1937 route.
We arrived in Santa Fe at 3.30 pm, and after a quick look around, checked in to the La Fonda Hotel. This hotel is of Mexican architecture and the theme is reflected throughout.
The view from our room.
A quite night tonight. A few more beers and a snack in the bar, then watch the Miami Heat/Oklahoma Thunder basketball playoffs in the room.
For Keren, dad changed his shirt today just so we could photograph him enjoying the sights again. Notice, he is making use of the clothesline in 'The Penthouse'.
We have a full day in Santa Fe tomorrow. Don't know that there's much to do, but a good chance to relax. Most of it seems to be over priced trendy shops selling Indian or Mexican wares. Not even a place where you could buy half a dozen stubbies to enjoy while you watched the basketball.
Regards,
The DMTC
