Our Last Day In The USA

Hi Folks,

Our last day in the US of A.   Ron's American mate Dave, picked up the Hollywood Wagon at about 9 am this morning and then everyone went their different ways, with visits to the Getty Museum, Santa Monica and shopping at the Apple Shop and Outlet stores.

Tony and Jeffsy went to Santa Monica Pier, where most (incorrectly) think Route 66 ends.

They then walked through the Palisades Park to the real end of Route 66 at Ocean Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard.

There's also a plaque there to commemorate Will Rogers and the section of Route 66 know as the Will Rogers Highway.   They managed to catch up with an old friend here.

 He then took them to where he works, the local McDonald's with his hero, Elvis Presley.

We're all just hanging around now waiting for our 7 pm check-out and the shuttle ride to the airport for our 11.30 departure for Home, Sweet Home.
